Academic Advising

Go Big Red

Academic Advising at The Durham School is an on-going, purposeful, educational relationship devoted to student academic success. It is highly recommended to meet with an academic advisor at least once a semester. Academic advisors can give you current information on degree requirements. Advisors will also refer you to the appropriate source for the information you need for academic success.

Your advisor is knowledgeable about university policies and can help you learn to make informed decisions about your college experience. Your academic advisor cares about your success and about you as a person. Your advisor will not know if you are struggling with academic issues, so therefore it is your responsibility to take the lead in developing a relationship with your advisor by communicating on a regular basis.
