Internship opportunities: I had an internship in Bellevue, NE in the Summer of 2006 and I had an electrical internship in Las Vegas, NV in the Summer of 2007.
Durham School interests: AECSOP, AESLAC-secretary, IESNU, and AEI.
Synopsis of work: I am the Rural Coordinator for AECSOP. The last two years we have planned a Fall break trip to Hastings, Grand Island, and Kearnery to give presentations to their high school students. I was in charge of contacting the teachers and setting up the presentations for those schools. This year was pretty successful, we made it to all of the main schools in each town(a total of eight schools). Not all the teachers were able to participate this year because of other conflicts. I was also one of the presenters that traveled on this fall break trip. I also presented at the WIIE(Women Interested IN Engineering) which was held at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in September. This was the first time that students from the Architectural Engineering program attended. We gave three presentations to high school girls and had a both for the students to visit and speak with us.
