In my first semester of involvement in AECSOP I had the opportunity to participate in the Women Interested In Engineering (WIIE) event on the Lincoln Campus. Fellow AESCOP members and I gave a short presentation about architectural engineering and spent time discussing the questions and concerns of the high school women who attended the event. It was exciting to see the women realize the opportunities available in architectural engineering and help them consider taking advantage of these opportunities.
