Hometown: Edwards, CA
Program: Architectural Engineering
Career interests: I'm interested in
structural engineering as a career, but have a strong pull towards humanitarian efforts, and a passion for writing fiction.
Internship Opportunities: I haven't done an internship yet, but hope to sign up for 2009 summer internship soon.
Durham School Interests: I'm an AE major who plans on focusing on structures. Although my main goal in life is to help people, I've discovered that I have an affinity for structures as well. The concepts, numbers, and methods are much more intuitive for me compared to many other engineering disciplines. I've recently discovered AECSOP, which allows me to interact with people, which for a social butterfly like myself, is a big plus. The game room in PKI is always nice, but I really enjoy the higher-level engineering classes that offer more realistic applications, and less theory.
