The Office of the Associate Dean for Research oversees research in the College of Engineering. Its goals are:
- to assist the faculty in the College of Engineering in all stages of the research funding process
- to maintain the college's research records
- to provide an interface between the college and the university's Office of Research Grants and Contracts
- to establish the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as a leading research institution by developing and exploring new technologies, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and transferring new technologies to Nebraska industry
