Eugene H. Wright, associate professor emeritus of construction management, died suddenly April 4. Wright retired in 2005 after 33 years of service.
Tim Wentz, chair of the Department of Construction Management, estimates that Wright taught more than 2,000 students during his career. He worked under the direction of the department’s six chairpersons and had been part of a tremendous amount of change, Wentz said.
Wright earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He also established his own architecture firm, Eugene H. Wright and Associates.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene, one son and two stepsons. Colleagues and students will miss Wright’s keen sense of humor and dedication to the construction management program, Wentz said.
