Formula SAE is a design and racing competition organized by the Society of Automotive Engineers.
More than 250 universities across the world conceive, design and fabricate a Formula-style race car.
June 2012 is the first time a major Formula SAE competition will happen in Lincoln, moving from California.
A UNL team, including Nebraska Engineering students, is building a vehicle to enter the competition, and serving as local hosts.
