AEI Conference: April 19-21, 2012

AEI logoWelcome to the official 2012 AEI Student Conference website. The Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is proud to host this year's conference and showcase Omaha to architectural engineering students across the nation.

This year's conference has been planned by students and for students, with the goal to not only educate, but also provide a fun and memorable experience that will hopefully become a highlight of your college career. From the headquarters of many top AE firms to famous facilities such as TD Ameritrade Park and The Henry Doorly Zoo, Omaha has much to offer from an architectural engineering aspect.

About The Durham School

The Charles W. Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction is part of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Engineering. It is based out of The Peter Kiewit Institute (PKI) in Omaha and Nebraska Hall on the university’s Lincoln City Campus. It is the only school in the nation that combines architectural engineering, construction engineering and construction management providing students a comprehensive building system education. Architectural Engineering, Construction Engineering and Construction Management are taught in Omaha; Construction Management and Construction Engineering are offered in Lincoln.

The cost of constructing PKI was approximately $37.5-million with features such as a living learning laboratory, including an exposed infrastructure; state of the art labs, a building structural system laboratory, a building mechanical system laboratory, and a building lighting systems and electrical systems laboratory.
