Get Involved!

Welcome to Nebraska Engineering. The Ambassadors and Diplomats are here to welcome you and answer any questions you may have regarding resources, programs, disciplines, and entry into the College of Engineering. We are all current students studying in many different disciplines.

  • Lincoln: Ambassadors

Ambassadors are the leadership team for the college outreach programs. These students serve the Dean's Office as student representatives at recruitment and student programming events. Ambassadors play a vital role in the organization and execution of events, including Discover Engineering, Red Letter Days, Big Red Road Shows and E-Week Open House. In addition, Ambassadors are the first student contact prospective students have when visiting campus. They lead college tours, serve as classroom and overnight hosts, and are awarded a Leadership Scholarship for their service.
  • Lincoln: Diplomats

Diplomats are an integral part of the Student Programs outreach efforts and are primarily responsible for representing the college at recruitment events. Delegates also volunteer their time to the college at alumni and other outreach events organized by the Ambassadors. Delegates are given priority for Ambassador positions when available.
  • Omaha

PKI Diplomats and Delegates represent Nebraska Engineering's programs in Omaha at recruitment, alumni and other outreach events. Leading tours and connecting with prospective students are part of this important and fun role that helps the college and develops interpersonal and communication skills.
