UNL College of Engineering to Host Annual TEAMS Competition in March

Teams CompetitionThe University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Engineering will host the annual Tests of Engineering Aptitude Mathematics and Science (TEAMS) competition for area high school students, Friday, March 7, 2008. TEAMS is a program of the Junior Engineering Technical Society (JETS) and is a day-long competition of engineering challenges illustrating how science and math principles, along with creativity and innovation, are applied to the real world of engineering.

Ninety locations across the country will host more than 14,000 students for the competition. This year, the competition will tap into the excitement of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, with students discovering behind-the-scenes challenges involved in conducting large-scale athletic events.

Teams Competition Registration

To register for the TEAMS 2008 competition, teams must do the
following prior to the Feb. 15, 2008 deadline:

  1. Pre-register online at www.jets.org
  2. Mail the Host Invoice with your registration fee to the address listed on the form.
  3. E-mail or fax Competition Participants Form.
