Senior Check
The senior check is part of the process that the Department of Civil Engineering and the College of Engineering and Technology use to verify that all students have met the requirement for a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. At the end of a student's junior year and before the beginning of a student's senior year, the student and his or her academic advisor should complete the senior check form (.pdf). This form is used to assess the progress of the student towards fulfilling the requirements for the degree of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Once this form is filled out, it is forwarded to Department Chair and then to the Dean of Engineering.
Students can make corrections in their schedules, if needed, or substitutions. If the criteria are being met, then students can have some piece of mind. Once the senior check is approved at the college and university-levels, it becomes a promise that if the student completes the listed classes, the student will graduate.
