B.S. CIVE Program Flow Chart

Since few students take classes exactly as listed in the 8 semester plan, a flow chart has been developed that lists as a row the courses for each semester in the 8 semester plan, with solid lines showing pre-requests and dashed lines for classes that can be taken in parallel.

College of Engineering Summer Study Abroad Program

The College's Summer Study Abroad Program offers students the opportunity to visit significant sties around the world and learn about the how and way of engineering, science and technology throughout time. Examples of programs in the past summers include Brazil, Italy, Great Britain and France. All programs allow students to earn humanities and social science credits towards their engineering degree. Some programs also allow students to earn technical elective credits towards their engineering degree. For more information about this program, see the College of Engineering Web site (study abroad section).

Fundamentals of Engineering Exam

To pursue a professional license, you must pass one of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examinations. Most BS CIVE students take the exam one or two semesters before graduation. Chi Epsilon offers FE Review sessions on both the Lincoln (both fall and spring) and Omaha (spring only) campuses. More information about the FE exam is available at the below links:
