Dr. Moore served as a faculty member in the Civil Engineering department at Auburn University (1971-1984) and at the University of Kansas (1984-1997). He served as a chair of the department from 1997-2002. Dr. Moore is a fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE); D-4 & D-18 Committee member in the American Society for Testing & Materials (ASTM), American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), and the Transportation Research Board (TRB) of the National Academies. He has served as an ASCE Representative on the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering & Technology (ABET). He currently is a member of the TRB Long-Term Pavement Performance (LTPP) Data Analysis Expert Task Group.
