What is N.U.B.E. Camp?
An overnight retreat that gives new engineering students a head start in their transition to college. The N.U.B.E. camp will give incoming first-year students the opportunity to meet fellow classmates, faculty, and staff. There will be a variety of social activities, interactive teambuilding, and resourceful information given by current students, faculty, and staff.
When is N.U.B.E. Camp?
Wednesday August 22 - Thursday August 23, 2007.Students start camp on their respective campus the afternoon of August 22nd. During this time, students will participate in welcome ceremonies, tours, information sessions, and other fun activities. Then, Lincoln and Omaha students, faculty and staff will board buses and meet in the middle at Camp Kitaki in Louisville, Nebraska for over 24 hours of outdoor adventures and team building exercises. Students return to their home campus the evening of August 23rd in time for dinner.
And don't forget than more exciting activities are planned before classes begin. UNO Durango Days are scheduled for August 23-24, 2007, and UNL's Big Red Welcome is August 24-26.

Is there a fee?
Yes. A fee of $25.00 will be collected. The fee covers meals, housing, transportation, and program materials.
How do I sign up?
To be eligible you must meet the following criteria:
- Be admitted in the College of Engineering on either the Omaha or Lincoln campus
- Be enrolled in the College of Engineering and registered for classes before Wednesday, August 1st, 2007.

- We will accept the first 170 applications. They will be taken on a first come/first serve basis.
Moving to Campus Early
A fee will be assessed to you through the housing department for early check-in. Please give yourself enough time to move into your room so that you can arrive at pre-NUBE Camp activities as outlined in the itinerary.
Omaha
If you are from out-of-town, are signed up to live on campus in either Scott Hall or University Village and would like to move in before the August 19 so that you may participate in this program, please contact your residence hall director by July 27 to schedule an early move in. You will be charged a fee for each day.

Lincoln
If you are signed up to live in a residence hall on the Lincoln campus and would like to move in before August 23rd at 8am please indicate on the online registration form if you plan to move in on August 21st or 22nd. You may not move into the residence halls earlier than August 21st. We will notify the housing department of your early arrival.
You must bring a check or cash with you to pay the front desk worker of your residence hall the day that you move in. The fees charged for early move in are as follows:
UNL Residence Hall early move in fee (depending on what you are contracted for):
$17 per day for a double room
$34 per day for a single room
