Discover Engineering Days: Nov. 9-11, 2011
The College of Engineering started Discover Engineering Days to introduce middle school students and their teachers to the various fields in engineering and the engineering programs offered at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
The event is hosted by the college's student organizations and is filled with hands-on activities that apply math, science and creative thinking skills. Students are responsible for bringing their own sack lunches. Each day will end with an optional tour of one of three University of Nebraska-Lincoln facilities.
- Option 1- The Dairy Store! Perfect for November 9 or Nov. 11, the UNL Dairy Store is located in the East Campus Visitors Center. The UNL Dairy Store has been selling dairy products since 1917. At one time, the Dairy Store/Plant provided all the dairy products for the UNL Dormitories. Tour their facilities at NO COST.
- Option 2- Tour of Memorial Stadium. Memorial Stadium is located between 10th street and Stadium Drive on the downtown campus of the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and is home to the Huskers. The tour starts at the West Stadium Security Entrance and lasts approximately one hour. Transportation will not be provided for East campus to Memorial Stadium, and guests are encouraged to park in the Stadium Drive Parking Garage. There is NO COST for this tour.

There is no registration fee to attend Discover Engineering Day. Guests are responsible for their own parking fees.

Teachers, please have students’ parents complete the photo release form and bring each form with you to campus.
The registration form should be completed by the teacher or chaperone responsible for the student/group.
