E-Day 2007: Edible Car Competition: 12-11-2007
Transcript:
On December 11th, 2007, The Biological Systems Engineering Department presented E Day at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln East Campus Union.
The day involved hands on activities, chances to meet with faculty, potential employers, tour labs and classrooms and the chance to view innovative senior design projects in agriculture and biological systems engineering.
The day was capped off by an Freshmen edible car competition.
The competition challenged teams to rev up their efforts in creativity and to design a car completely made of food. The vehicle traveling the longest distance when rolled down a ramp determined the winning team.
To complete the event, the teams had to eat their creations
The winners were team JDAT, using a sausage for the car body, rice cakes for wheels, and candy for axles and bearings.
Team JDAT was comprised of David Adams, Jordan Dau, Trevor Geary, and Andrew Rassmussen.
